New Branding for the University Lions.
The committee has been working hard with the Marketing and Public Relations Office at UTAS over the off season preparing new logos for the club that fall into line with the UTAS Branding Policy.
The committee feels that it is important that the club maintains a very good working relationship with both the University of Tasmania and the Sports Council at the Tasmania University Union. For this reason we were very happy to meet with Christine Bayley and Amanda Wotjowicz at the Marketing and Public Relations Office at UTAS to discuss the club's branding issues and to design logos that both parties agreed to.
The club logos are designed to cover all possible applications; two of those developed are shown below.
A third version will shortly adorn the re-designed front page of the website, the new rampant Lion already having replaced the previous version on all of the
other pages of the site. All of the new season's playing and social apparel will also incorporate the latest in a long line of TUCC logos.
The new branding is not restricted to the design of new logos. In time, a sign will be added to the road signs on the corner of Grosvenor and Alexander Streets directing people to the cricket pavillion. New players to the competition often find it difficult to locate our clubrooms and this should solve this problem. Also, the scoreboard will display the UTAS logo and Tasmania University Union logos. The clubrooms will have the new UTAS cricket logo displayed prominently outside (below the clock) and inside (on the freshly painted gold wall above the bar).
