TUCC bowler Andrew Kealy has won the Emerson Rodwell Medal for season 2009-10, polling 12 votes finishing two votes ahead of North Hobart’s Jon Dakin and New Town’s Nathan Wegman.
Coming in to the last round of the season, Kealy, Wegman, Dakin, Wells, Tubb and TUCC's Darren McNees could all mathematically win the medal but all failed to poll a vote in the final round leaving Kealy on top of the leader board when it counted to take home his first Emerson Rodwell Medal as the Player of the Year in TCA First Grade Cricket.
Batting award winners in First Grade were North Hobart captain Michael Dighton who won the batting average with 419 runs at an average of 104.75 and Glenorchy’s Dane Anderson who’s 866 runs gave him the batting aggregate, whilst TUCC's Darren McNees' 26 wickets at 13.58 was the best bowling average in the competition and North Hobart’s Rhys Owen won the bowling aggregate with his 34 wickets for the season. North Hobart Captain Sean Clingeleffer took home the Kookaburra Wicket Keeping Award with 34 dismissals.
