The UTAS Cricket Scholarship is a one-year scholarship and is valued at $3,000.  It will be awarded to a student who is eligible to enrol or has already enrolled in any course at the UTAS who is a talented cricketer and commits to playing for UTAS Cricket for the next season.

This Scholarship is made available through the generosity of past members and supporters of UTAS Cricket.  It will support a student with good academic achievements who can also demonstrate a talent and commitment to cricket as demonstrated by performance in school or club competition.  The selected student must be prepared to play for the UTAS Cricket in the next season.

A selection committee consisting of the President of the UTAS Cricket, another member of UTAS Cricket, and a nominee of the Vice-Chancellor will select the winner.  Criteria include: Cricket experience, Scholastic ability, Leadership, Coaching, and Community Service.

INAGURAL WINNER

On 31st January 2008 pharmacy student Alex Saunders was presented with the inaugural UTAS Cricket. Scholarship at a ceremony held in the University Club on campus.
