Ben Hilfenhaus has joined the coaching team as Men's Head Coach for Season 17/18

Ben Hilfenhaus has joined our coaching team for the upcoming season, taking on the role of Men's Head Coach.

Ben first joined the University Cricket Club after moving down from Ulverstone to play cricket for Tasmania.  We have seen Ben intermittently over the years, in between duties playing for Australia and Tasmania where he has an outstanding record as an opening fast bowler, and a lower order batsman (not many people can say they have 99 test wickets and an unbeaten Test fifty!).  Ben has just completed his Level 3 Coaching Course and is looking forward to leading our men's program this season.

"We are absolutely delighted that Ben has signed on as our head coach" said President Charles Rose

"Ben obviously brings a lot of experience and knowledge to share with our playing group having played at the top level over the past decade.  But what stood out was his vision of the role he wanted to play in developing our players from our youth program as well as our grade teams.  He is someone of great character and we want great people around our cricket club, so it is certainly very exciting".

Hilfenhaus is the second signing this month with Ben Harrison joining as High Performance Manager, with more to be announced over the coming weeks.
