FEMALE CRICKET @ UTAS

At UTAS Cricket we have many ways that girls of all ages can get involved with cricket.  We feel that there are three stages starting with learning, then moving to participating and finally competing.  We do all that while having fun and making some new friends.

Our Senior Female cricket team played in the Semi-Final in 2009-10 and several of the team have played in Tasmanian Rep teams over the past few years. This year we have Australian Shooting Stars Squad Member Katelyn Fryett playing for UTAS Cricket Club.  We have also encouraged many of the players to develop their skills by playing in some of the Cricket Tasmania Premier League and underage teams.  This most definitely provided a new challenge with the girls enjoying success and their self belief grew as a result.

While we want to help all our players aspire to play at the highest level hat they can, there are many different opportunities for girls of all ages inclusing: Milo in2Cricket, Twilight Cricket, Girls Under 15, Cricket Tasmania Premier League.
