Kingborough won the toss and elected to bat on a deck which would deterierate throughout the day. Josh Parker and Ash Winter opened the bowling and were very tight in their first spell. We showed great intensity in the field for the first 30 overs but in the last ten the intensity dropped and Kingborough started to pull away. Uni ended up bowling Kingbourough out for 158. Hayden Kitchener and Ellis Perry opened the batting but were quickly separated when Hayden edged one onto his stumps. The pitch just kept getting lower and lower as the day went on and on with uni being bowled out very cheaply. Robert Jubb and Ben Sim were the only Uni batters who put up a bit of a fight. |
