A much improved effort from the U/13s saw them go down to a very strong Glenorchy team (8 southern under age reps in a squad of 15 - and they scored well over 300 in their last game) by 54 runs. Highlights were: * A much improved bowling performance by all bowlers with Jack Vickers, Cam Burnett and Chalan Tuantab worthy of mention. * Some brilliant fielding by Liam Perkins behind square who stopped a number of certain 4s. * Hugh Burgess threw stumps down twice in 2 overs - keeper J.Hortle fumbled on both occasions and batsmen attempted to sneak a bye - Hugh covering from first slip caught both batsmen short by at least a metre with direct hits. One last chance to impress with a one day slogathon (25 overs each) against South-Sandy Bay. |
