The last game of the season saw the boys turn in their best performance of the year, with some excellent bowling from the "lesser lights" and fine fielding by the whole team - 6 catches offered and 6 accepted. Uni lost the toss and had first spell in the field. At 1/38 from 10 overs SSB were well placed, however some tight bowling and excellent fielding slowed things down. Cam Burnett whose bowling has improved with every game then broke through with a couple of quick wickets, and Richie Lovell then destroyed the innings with 3 wickets in 2 overs. SSB lost 8/46 in their last 15 overs. Jimmy and Hugh took to the bowling racing to 30 in 5 overs, and Dominic carried on with some more free hitting to have us well placed at 1/71 after 13 overs - bad number 71as 2 overs later we had collapsed to be 5/71. Liam and Jackson stayed calm and saw us past the score with no further loss. A great way to finish the season from a team that showed steady improvement with every game. Often outgunned by older, more experienced teams the boys stuck to their task each week and were rewarded in the last couple of games, pushing top team Glenorchy and then beating the more fancied South Sandy Bay combination.
