Well done uni A wobbly looking toss put us into the field with only 9 players against what should of been some confindent batting. Well Keg and the opening bowlers went straight onto the attack with only 2 men on the on side, With good bowling from Ollie & Sammy B and a great one handed pick up and return from Josh Archer we had them for 4/38 off 9 overs. Hugh came on and put the breaks on their runs even more and picked up a wicket, it was good to see Courtney bowling a good length that picked him up a LBW. Fenna arrived after a quick game of golf to get straight into the action by picking up a catch in covers, then wrapped up the tail with the help of Ross. The fielding was exellent today with the two run outs by Josh & Ellis, all the guys in the field looked enegetic, attacked the ball and through in the returns really well. Thanks to Alec Balcombe for his presance today we could not have done it with out you. With a chase of 124 a sharp piece of fielding and a direct hit saw Will go and that brought Hugh to the crease, a patnership of 51 with Ellis put us half way home before Ellis was caught. Mataise loked like he was on the war path but only managed 3, Next Fenna & Hugh with his secure knock of 60 not out took us to the total of 4/125 for a good win. well done guys |
