Hello Team Base Ball, (But no domestics next time or I will call the cops) I hope you guys feel good about your win over Clarance, because I do, What a good toss to win and that set the mood for a good days batting. Chris Morro & Courtney went into bat first, but with Courtas early wicket brought in Sammy Boxtrain and this gave us a good partnership of 82 runs before Morro took on ssome one arm and was only just ran out for 25, Teniacous Tom Ritchie came to the crease with sam and again another good partnership of 78 before Tom's only chance saw him hole out for 40, well done Tom, Well Ellis wasnt happy with his decision, but thats life. Fenna well down the order at 7 soon but was soon amongst the tail with the early dismissal of Chook Hensby & Olli. With intelligent batting from Fenna & disiplined batting from Kevin Jubb & Tom Hawkes certainly helped steer our team to a good total of 248 runs What can I say about the bowling nothing but good, from where I was the ball looked as if it was kept up & plenty of pace to send Clarance packing & hungry by lunch time. Well done to Smelly who put on the gloves & snared 3 good catches and looked as if he enjoyed it With a secure win in place we went into bat again for the guys who didnt score, Courtney was of to solid start before a questionable LBW decision saw him to 29 Smelly played a disiplined innings of 59 before stumps at 5.30 PM Well done |
