A great start for the University black U12 boys...who elected to bat first.... Once they found that their shoes weren't cemented tot he ground and.. you could run once you hit the ball ...we gained a few runs... The boys played well against University Red...with Jock stalker n/o for 7 and Tim Essy n/o for 6....both being our highest scorers... Uni Red played well with M Gatsby scoring 4 with Tom and David both retiring on 3...I know it doesn't sound like a big run rate..but they out lasted their overs batting very well...!! The boys fielded extremely well for their first game having good team spirit and very could co-ordination..got the Uni Red team out for 35 Oliver and Hugh Johnston both being Identical twins...played an exceptional game having improved alot since the U10 season and fielded brilliantly.. Our new player Tom Downing bowled gaining a wicket in the second ball...Josh Boxsell 1 Oliver Johnston 1 Oscar Sumner 1 Will Joseph 1 Well done Uni Black...I will remember the fredos' next week...!!
