Uni won the toss and captain Sam sent the opposition in on an overcast morning. The grass was damp, and the ground can best be described as sodden. Kingborough started well and after four overs were 0 for 20. The Uni bowlers gradually worked us back into the game and restricted Kingborough to 84 for the loss of 4 wickets. Best bowling Kogo 1 for 4 off 3 overs Tom L 2 for 1 off 2 overs Uni started disasterously and lost four wickets to be 4 for 1 after four overs. From that position it was always going to be difficult to get back into the game. James, Kogo and Joseph all batted very well, (with all retiring), to get the score to 42 after 19 overs. Tom L and Tim had a good partnership of 20, but Uni were 5 for 62 off the allotted 25 overs. Top scores for Uni Joseph M 11 ret. Kogo 10 ret. Tom L 10 n.o |
