New Town just defeated Uni all out for 100 , with only 10 minutes to go to secure a draw. Bowling figures; 6 bowlers took a wicket each and all bowled tightly. Batting figures; Richard Lovell 27, Liam Perkins 21, Josh Kemp 13. New Town continued to bat for an hour this week , which restricted Uni in overs and time to chase and secure a victory. Rather than just bat out the time and force a draw we decided to at least be positive in the run chase.Some batsman were a little to cavalier, seeing we still wanted to secure a draw. Nevertheless it was good experience. I am very proud of all Under 15 cricketers this year and I look forward to supporting the rise of the Under 15`s again next year as they mature towards senior cricket with the University Cricket Club in future years. |
