University bowled and fielded well and kept SBSH Sharks to an achievable total of 105. Three of the wickets fell to run-outs and the wicket keeping by Ben Wisbey and Liam O'Donovan was of a high standard. Kai Roberts took a wicket with an LBW decision and Sam Rhodes took a wicket with a great catch by Trevor Derbyshire. University batted well, but lost wickets cheaply with many of the boys' scores not reflecting the length of time they batted and the shots made. Jack Bilson (18) and Kogo Fujiki (16) ended the day not out with the best scores. Tim Ezzy also ended the day not out on 5 including a great shot to the boundary for 4 and bowling figures of 0-6. Unfortunately University fell short of the required score by 21 runs and ended the day with 84 runs. |
