Uni won the toss and elected to bat. Unfortunately the loss of early wickets meant that we were always going to struggle to post a competitive score. Having said that the Sth Hobart team was much stronger than the team we played the week previously. We batted out the 40 overs which was a credit to the boys managing a score of 83. Of the batsman James scored 14 n.o, with Richard 12 and Jaques playing his first game as opener scoring a dogged 6. The Sth Hobart batsman played sensibly and overhauled our total off 18 overs and for the loss of one wicket. The remainder of the day was used as a practice session with our boys playing in a very positive fashion. |
