Movie Night
The TUCC Social Committee has been working hard to develop a range of social events that will help us to build a community around the cricket club. To kick off the season we have a movie night planned at the State Cinema on Monday 3rd November.
The movie is Crooked Business which has been described as “a fast-paced comedy of errors, set on the glitzy Gold Coast. Two likeable crooks find themselves in a corner that's going to take all their street smarts to get out of - because "if you're gonna do crooked business, you've gotta do it straight".
Click here to view the movie flier for more details.
Full details regarding booking, payments etc are on the flier but if you have any question please email Fae or Sam at utas.cricket@gmail.com.
Hundred Club
The Hundred Club is a raffle of sorts with 100 tickets @ $25 each with the first prize of $1,000. There are several other consolation prizes and this will be drawn on 8th Nov at the clubrooms after the first day’s play of the 1st Grade clash with Clarence. John Perry (d.j.perry@bigpond.com) has been distributing books of four tickets to most senior players but I am sure he would welcome a direct approach from supporters, family and friends. If anyone would like a book of four tickets it’s best to contact John directly on his email or 0408 283 596.
Thanks for your support of these fundraising initiatives and we look forward to a few fun nights.
We are also looking to create greater ambience in the clubrooms and would appreciate any donations of furniture inc couches, coffee tables, etc. If anyone has anything that they think might be appropriate please contact me and we could arrange a suitable delivery to the Club.
All the best,
Paul McNamara
