An introduction to Cricket Coaching
There are two online courses, Cricket Australia Introduction to Cricket and Play by the Rules that should be completed by interested players and parents to get some skills in the first instance. We would also do some basic hands-on work as the season progresses. This would then lead into the Level 1 course provided by Cricket Tasmania.
Introduction to Coaching
Welcome to the Introduction to Cricket course for volunteers, parents and those who are beginning life as coaches. This online program is the perfect place to get to grips with the basics of coaching, so you can help your child, school or club team. In the interactive lessons to follow you will learn key coaching techniques and principles and be given a survival guide that is essential for MILO in2CRICKET coordinators, junior team coaches, school teachers or volunteers managing sides.

Play by the Rules
Play by the Rules offers free online training courses for coaches, administrators, officials and players about their rights under responsibilities under discrimination and child protection laws. The courses are short (taking no more than two hours), may be done in part or all at once, and make extensive use of case studies. All parents should also complete this online course as well.

So let me know how you go as we look forward to having more players and parents suitably trained.
PS we will also have some Umpire training before the season commences so anyone intersted should drop Luke or Paul a note. |
