JUNIOR CRICKET
Are you looking for a fun, active and team-oriented sport for your child?
Thomastown United Cricket Club provides a welcoming environment in which young players can learn, develop and enjoy cricket. We welcome children with different levels of experience—from those picking up a bat or ball for the first time to established players looking to further develop their game.
More Than a Game
Junior cricket is about much more than scores and results. It gives young people the opportunity to build friendships, develop confidence, learn teamwork and become part of a supportive local sporting community.
Our coaches aim to create an inclusive and enjoyable environment in which every player is encouraged to participate, improve and contribute to their team.
Training and Matches
Junior training is held at Thomastown East Reserve on Tuesdays from 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm.
Junior matches are generally played on Friday evenings from 5.00 pm to 7.40 pm at our home grounds or at other clubs in the Diamond Valley Cricket Association.
Match times may vary slightly according to age group, competition arrangements and the season fixture.
Developing Young Players
Our junior program supports players at every stage of their development. Young players who are ready for additional challenges may also have opportunities to train with, learn from and eventually play alongside experienced senior cricketers.
Any transition into senior cricket is carefully considered according to the young player’s age, ability, confidence and readiness, in consultation with the player and their family.
Come and Try Cricket
New players are welcome to attend a training session, meet our coaches and experience the club before deciding whether to register.
