Senior Cricket
Thomastown United Cricket Club has a proud and well-established senior cricket program competing in the Diamond Valley Cricket Association.
Our senior teams provide opportunities for experienced cricketers, developing players and those returning to the game. We aim to combine competitive cricket with a welcoming club environment in which players can develop, contribute and enjoy being part of a team. Our captain coach is Riley Patterson and the Assistant Coach is Josh Sandford
Training and Matches
Senior training is held at Thomastown East Reserve on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.40 pm.
Senior matches are played on Saturday afternoons at our two home ovals or at other clubs across the Diamond Valley Cricket Association.
Training and match arrangements typically suspend over the Christmas and New Year Periods.
A Pathway for Developing Players
Our senior program provides an important development pathway for junior players who are ready to experience senior cricket.
Opportunities are determined by the Senior Selection Committee according to the player’s ability, attitude, confidence and readiness. Decisions involving junior-aged players are made carefully and in consultation with the player and their family.
This pathway allows younger players to learn from experienced cricketers while continuing to develop their skills and understanding of the game.
Join Our Senior Program
New players and returning cricketers are welcome. Registration options are available for players with different levels of availability, including those who may not be able to commit to every match.
Contact the club if you would like to attend training, discuss registration options or find out which team may be most suitable for you.
