Veterans’ Cricket

Thomastown United Cricket Club has an active veterans’ team for players aged over 40.

Veterans’ cricket welcomes players who are still involved in senior cricket, returning after time away from the game or considering playing cricket for the first time. It provides regular competitive cricket with a strong emphasis on enjoyment, friendship, fitness and wellbeing.

Training and Matches

Veterans’ matches are played on selected Sunday afternoons during the cricket season, generally on a fortnightly basis.

The season usually runs from October to February, with a break over the Christmas and New Year period.

Veterans’ players are also welcome to join senior training at Thomastown East Reserve on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.40 pm.

Cricket and Community

Our veterans’ players are an important part of the wider club. In addition to playing cricket, they regularly participate in club functions and contribute their knowledge and experience to the Thomastown United community.

Whether you have played for decades or have never played before, there is a place for you.
